Overview

"At Marina Village (Mozza, Casena & Chiki), Balwyck brought expertise in owner representation, leading the way in design coordination and delivering innovative construction solutions. This dynamic project required collaboration among the developer's in-house design team, as well as contractors and artists from around the world.

Balwyck’s involvement spanned the entire project lifecycle—from concept development through construction and into active operations. Our team promoted seamless communication and collaboration across the development team, design professionals, artists, and contractors. Given the fast-track, design-build nature of the project, adaptability was key, as was the ability to identify potential risks, implement proactive mitigation strategies, expedite construction, and maintain rigorous financial oversight.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with Nancy Silverton and her staff, alongside the developer’s Director of Design, providing regular updates to the Director of Development and CEO to ensure alignment with the developer’s vision and high standards."

Project Description

Situated along the Marina Village courtyard, Nancy Silverton’s Mozza offers a contemporary and diverse ambiance complemented by breathtaking views of the Costa Palmas private marina. Guests have the option to gather around the wood-fired pizza oven, relax at the bar counter or outdoor lounge, or indulge in the private dining room while savoring Nancy’s distinctive creations. As the culinary force behind renowned Los Angeles establishments like the Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza, and chi SPACCA, Chef Silverton is introducing her signature culinary concept to Baja, infusing it with the unique flavors from the East Cape.
